Emmett’s journey into scoring and composition professionally has been a circuitous route, to say the least.
A dozen years in the animation industry as a storyboard artist and animator lead him to writing for games and voice-over acting. All that while, music was a large element of his life percolating where we find him today.
Studying jazz piano and improvisational theory in youth lead Emmett to over a decade spent as the musical director to Vancouver’s improv darlings, The Sunday Service. Allowing Emmett to explore a musical vocabulary and narrative intuition unique only to him. Growing up in a theatrical family performance has always played a huge role in his life.
Emmett is currently at Klei Entertainment as a resident composer and member of the creative development team.
